Add a gradient background
Create or apply a gradient background with stops, presets, and handle controls.
Goal
Apply a gradient background that adds depth without reducing screenshot readability.
Prerequisites
- A source screenshot is imported.
- Background controls are accessible.
Steps
- Open gradient controls and set background mode to
gradient. - Start from a preset or recent gradient.
- Adjust type:
linearfor directional blend.radialfor center-focused blend.
- Edit stops:
- Select a stop and adjust color.
- Add stops up to 5 if needed.
- Remove stops until at least 2 remain.
- Adjust handles (angle, center, radius) until screenshot contrast is clean.
Verify Result
- Background mode is
gradient. - Stop transitions are smooth and intentional.
- Foreground content remains legible in high-contrast areas.
Quick Rollback / Undo Path
- Undo stop/color changes.
- Re-apply a known good preset.
- Disable background to compare against base composition.
If gradient feels noisy
- Reduce stop count.
- Keep angle/center changes subtle.
- Use a simpler preset as baseline.
